Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure, George Koberidze, director of “Solid Waste Management Company”, George Shukhoshvili, company’s employees, together with the high officials and the staff of the “United Water Supply Company” has held the cleaning action near the Jvari Mionasteri in Mtskheta municipality. Representatives of the NGO “Green Movement”, its leader, Nino Chkhobadze, the representative of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), Xatuna Zaldastanishvili and representatives of Mtskheta Municipality participated in the action as well.
Due to the negligence of the population, it is difficult to sustain of cleanliness by Jvari Monastery. The Monastery is the subject of interests for the tourists, and it is not pleasant that around the church plastic bottles, bags and other household waste is scattered. The participants of the action cleared the area, collected the waste and removed to a landfill.
