Today, Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Shota Murghulia, with the Director of Solid Waste Management Company Mr. George Shukhoshvili, visited the primary operating on a landfill placed in Khashuri and Bakuriani.
At the landfills of Khashuri and Bakuriani, It is planned to arrange check boxes, drainage and sewage systems, sanitary facilities and security shield. The regional landfill operators, who will control the territory, proper waste disposal, accounting, and maintenance, have been already appointed.
Together with the Deputy Minister, the event was attended by Swedish experts who are in Georgia and are providing technical assistance to solid waste management company. During the visit, they will evaluate the landfills of Khashuri, Bakuriani and other existing ones and will take part in maintenance works on them.
