Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure David Narmania, Deputy Minister Giorgi Solomonia and the Director of Solid Waste Management Company Giorgi Shukhoshvili opened the new landfill of solid waste of Akhaltsikhe municipality.
The waste landfill of Akhaltsikhe, located in Samtskhe – Javakheti, was transferred to “Solid Waste Management Company” on July 10, 2013. To regulation of the landfill and to locate the waste safely LTD “Alliance” won in the tender announced in 2013.
The following activities were carried out on the landfill: the territory was fenced and a guard shack, fire stand, dump render and a prohibiting sign were placed; the foundation was prepared, the libra with 60 tons was installed and other works have been implemented.
