Elguja Khokrishvili, the Minister of Environment Protection and Natural Resources of Georgia and Eva Smedberg, the Head of the SIDA awarded the winner of the competition “Clean Environment.” Award for the nomination “The Cleanest Region” went to Samegrelo region.
The competition was held within the framework of a project “Clean-Up Georgia.” The award ceremony was held with an initiative of the SIDA and with support of “Orkhisi” – Environment Research Union of Georgia, Green Movement of Georgia/Friends of the Earth, and “Eco Vision” – Sustainable Development Union.
Ltd. “Solid waste Management Company of Georgia” was actively enrolled in the “Clean-Up Georgia” campaigns.
