“Solid waste Management Company of Georgia” Ltd with financial support of KfW Entwicklungsbank is implementing the Project “Integrated Solid Waste Management Kutaisi.” The Company Director, Giorgi Shukhoshvili held the Meeting with the representatives of the German Development Bank (KfW) and the Project Implementation Consultant Company ERM.
The technical details and other project-related details were discussed at the meeting within the framework of the project “Integrated Solid Waste Management Kutaisi.”
The project “Integrated Solid Waste Management Kutaisi” implies building a new sanitary landfill in Kutaisi, which will serve for Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti regions. Moreover, project aims at closure of existing landfill in Kutaisi and the construction of new sanitary landfill, Improvement of Waste collection, street-cleaning and waste transportation systems, as well as arrangement of waste sorting plant for recycling waste.
The project implementation is planned in the period of 2014-2018.
