Position Title: Chief Specialist at Strategic Development and International Relations Department

Workplace: Tbilisi

Work schedule: Full time

Salary: GEL 1950 (Gross)

Probation period: 3 months

Ltd Solid Waste Management Company of Georgia is announcing a vacancy for Chief Specialist at Strategic Development and International Relations Department.

Brief information: Ltd Solid Waste Management Company of Georgia under the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia operates landfills throughout the country (except for Tbilisi municipality and the Autonomous Republic of Adjara). The company owns 54 municipal landfills and 5 waste transfer stations. The company’s mission is the construction of new EU standards-compliant regional non-hazardous waste landfills and waste transfer stations with the financial support of International Financial Institutions (IFIs) / Donors and step-by-step closure of all the existing landfills.

 

Responsibilities are as follows:

  • Participation in the development of strategic goals and action plans of the Company;
  • Familiarization with International standards of solid waste management and analysis of the perspectives for implementation in Georgia;
  • Assessment of needs for institutional development of the Company and preparation of relevant proposals;
  • Participation in the initiation, planning and implementation of new projects;
  • Participation in management and coordination of projects financed by International Financial Institutions/donor organizations;
  • Coordination with state institutions, international organizations, NGOs, and other stakeholders through the projects;
  • Participation in the development of action plans and preparation of reports of the Company in the framework of Governmental, regional, sectoral and international action plans and programs;
  • Participation in various commissions and working groups;
  • Preparation of Minutes of Meetings;
  • Preparation of presentations;
  • Preparations of letters and conducting official correspondences;
  • Perform other tasks and functions according to the needs.

Main requirements (qualification and skills)

  • Education
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is necessary;
  • Degree in International Relations, Public Management; Business Administration, Civil Engineering, Finances, Environmental Protection, Law will be considered as an advantage;
  • Knowledge of project management is desirable and the certificate will be considered as an advantage.
  • Working experience
  • At least 2 years of work experience is necessary
  • Experience in Project Management is desirable;
  • Experience in management/coordination of IFI/Donor organizations funded projects will be considered as an advantage;
  • Work experience in Public Sector will be considered as an advantage.

Languages:

  • Fluency in verbal and written Georgian and English
  • Knowledge of other language(s) will be considered as an additional advantage;

Other skills:

  • Good Knowledge of standard computer programs (MS Office)
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written);
  • Motivated individual with a high sense of responsibility.

Ltd Solid Waste Management Company of Georgia is announcing a vacancy for Senior Coordinator at Strategic Development and International Relations Department.

Brief information: Ltd Solid Waste Management Company of Georgia under the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia operates landfills throughout the country (except for Tbilisi municipality and the Autonomous Republic of Adjara).     • Coordination with International Financial Institutions, donor organizations, consulting companies, contractors and other stakeholders;
    • Participation in the development of strategy and action plans of projects;
    • Management and supervision of consulting services, review of documents/deliverables, keeping track of work plans and budget forecast;
    • Preparation of status reports and management reports of projects;
    • Participation in various commissions and working groups;
    • Preparation of Minutes of Meetings;
    • Implementation of necessary actions thorough projects;
    • Preparation of presentations.

Main requirements (qualification and skills)

  • Education
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is necessary;
  • Degree in International Relations, Public Management; Business Administration, Civil Engineering, Finances, Environmental Protection, and Law will be considered as an advantage;
  • Knowledge of project management is desirable and the certificate will be considered as an advantage.
  • Working experience
  • At least 3 years of work experience is necessary
  • 2 years experience in Project Management is desirable;
  • Experience in management/coordination of IFI/Donor organizations funded projects will be considered as an advantage;
  • Work experience in Public Sector will be considered as an advantage;
  • Knowledge and experience of FIDIC (Yellow, Red / Pink Books) contract management will be considered as an advantage;

Languages:

  • Fluency in verbal and written Georgian and English
  • Knowledge of other language(s) will be considered as an additional advantage;
