10/09/2022- The Solid Waste Management Company of Georgia (SWMCG) under the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia has started supplying 1100-liter plastic containers for waste collection to the municipalities of Samegrelo Zemo Svaneti region. At the first stage, 440 containers were handed over to the municipalities of Khobi and Tsalenjikha.
According to the plan, Municipalities of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Region will be gradually equipped with containers of various sizes, waste bins, special machines and other technical means within the framework of the “Integrated Solid Waste Management Program II, Kakheti and Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Regions”.
The project is currently being implemented with the financial support of the German Bank for reconstruction (KfW).
