27/09/2024 – Within the framework of the Kvemo Kartli Solid Waste Project, Ltd “Georgian Solid Waste Management Company” signed a contract with GT Group, the winner of an international tender, for the procurement of special equipment.
The new Kvemo Kartli Regional Non-Hazardous landfill will be equipped with the following special machinery:
- Bulldozer
- Loader
- Compactor
- Truck
- Excavator-loader
As part of the Kvemo Kartli Solid Waste Project, the construction of a new regional non-hazardous landfill that meets international standards is underway. This facility will serve the municipalities of Tsalka, Dmanisi, Tetritskaro, Bolnisi, and Marneuli.
With the establishment and equipping of the modern-standard facility, the environmental conditions and living standards in the region will significantly improve. Additionally, new jobs will be created, both during the construction and operation phases of the facility.
The project is being implemented with financial support from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA).
