Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Mr. ShotaMurgulia along with the Director of Solid Waste Management Company, Mr. George Shukhoshvili visited initial exploitation works going on landfill located in Dusheti
In order to arrange a landfill in Dusheti Solid Waste Management Company will organize disposal of old wastes in the depth of the landfill site, its pressing and covering with isolation layers; collection of haphazardly dispersed wastes around the landfill within the territory of the site; graveling of the access road and improvement of internal roads.
Regional coordinators and landfill operators who will be responsible for appropriate disposal of waste, calculation and exploitation of it have already been appointed.
Regional landfills have been transferred to the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure for management a short time ago. Solid Waste Management Company will be responsible for development and management of landfills existing on the territory of Georgia and management of solid waste on the territory of landfills, planned for the current year.
