Senaki municipality received 350 units of 1100-liter waste containers

17/09/2022 – The Solid Waste Management Company of Georgia (SWMCG) under the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia continues to supply municipalities of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region with new 1100-liter waste containers. 350 units of containers were handed over to Senaki Municipality within the framework of the “Integrated Solid Waste Management Program II, Kakheti and Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Regions”.

The project is currently being implemented with the financial support of the German Bank for reconstruction (KfW).

By the end of 2022, according to the plan, the municipality of Senaki will also be equipped with 100 containers of various sizes, 249 units of  street (small) waste bin and uniforms.  In addition, 3 waste collection trucks and 3 pickup trucks will be delivered by August 2023.

The event was attended by Mzia Giorgobiani, Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Giorgi Shukhoshvili,  Director of the Solid Waste Management Company of Georgia (SWMCG) and Vakhtang Gadelia, mayor of Senaki municipality.
